What to Know About Royal Caribbean Cruise Cancellations in 2023

Are you planning a cruise with Royal Caribbean in 2023? With the current pandemic, it's important to know what to expect if your cruise is canceled. Royal Caribbean has updated their policies to offer guests flexibility when booking cruises during this unusual time. The Book with Confidence cancellation policy allows you to cancel your cruise and receive a Future Cruise Credit (FCC). An FCC is a credit that can be used for a future cruise with Royal Caribbean.

It's important to note that the FCC must be used before the expiration date. If you cancel a cruise reservation that Royal Caribbean is now canceling, you may be eligible for additional compensation. If you have an onboard credit (OBC) from a Future Cruise Deposit (FCD) on a canceled reservation, the OBC will be accepted on your next cruise. In most cases, the original FCD will automatically be available to apply to your next cruise from your My Princess account.

If an FCD has reached its expiration date since your request, contact Customer Service to have the OBC reinstated. Refunds and FCCs are generally processed within 30 days of receiving the request or 30 days after the deadline for making requests, whichever comes first. If you have any questions about Royal Caribbean's cancellation policies, contact their Customer Service team for more information.
